       Bow Down To The Bitches

So the wonderfully clever bitches over at Smart Bitches Who Love Trashy Novels (a daily read) caught the completely asstastic words spoken by Bill Napoli, a republican senator from South Dakota in response to his idea of an exception to the anti abortion law just passed there. He says:

A real-life description to me would be a rape victim, brutally raped, savaged. The girl was a virgin. She was religious. She planned on saving her virginity until she was married. She was brutalized and raped, sodomized as bad as you can possibly make it, and is impregnated. I mean, that girl could be so messed up, physically and psychologically, that carrying that child could very well
threaten her life.

Because you know, if you're raped, you are meaningless and a horrible slut unless you're a virgin saving herself for marriage who goes to church.

Doesn't matter where your feelings lie on the abortion issue here folks. This kind of statement sets women back a hundred years. It sets up the idea that women's lives are more or less valuable when it comes to a brutal crime depending on the presence of a thin membrane of skin and church. This is utter bullshit and it makes my skin crawl to hear a member of the US Senate saying something like this.

So in response to these utterly misognyistic words, the bitches came up with a wonderful idea. Which is to pick up the strategy of Dan Savage (see his definition of Santorum) and create one just for Bill Napoli. Go and check it out...

By the way, today is International Women's Day. It seems fitting to post this today.

Oh my God! That is hilarious! Sad that it had to sprout from a misogynistic attempt at re-virginizing women everywhere, but funny!

It's kind of a way to cheer up in the wake of such utter nastiness.
